Watch Hollywood Movie Star Trek Review:

Star Trek starts off with a big action sequence that holds no surprises. You'll immediately notice a few dramatic stylistic changes in the camera work. This movie owes more to the pseudo-documentary style of Firefly or BSG than the traditional pristine look of the last few decades of Trek. Space is pretty silent (although it somehow gets noisier as the movie continues), and they even do the cool thing of making sure that everything in space doesn't share the same Z-axis. Minor, but I love it. The intro ends with an emotional note that resonates strongly; it could have been cheesy but it works. So, they reboot the universe. We get some Kirk/Spock back story, and some brief moments at the academy. Wacky events occur, leaving most of our familiar characters aboard the Enterprise.

We witness each of them rise to their known rank and positions. It's all very wink-wink. Occasionally a bit overly cutesy, but ultimately fun. I found the scoring a little weak (Abrams uses the same composer for everything), but many of the sound effects echo the original sources. The effects are just great: I would expect nothing less than perfect, and I got it. I particularly liked the Vulcan architecture. Yes, the new bridge looks like an Apple Store, but the glass and white looks modern. It might not age that well, but it's cool. The costumes look forward and backward at the same time. We have mini-skirts on the bridge and familiar color coding. It all works. The Enterprise itself feels HUGE inside. Engineering isn't just a room with a console; it's massive. It has weight. I love it......................

Numerous short skirts, elevator eyelash batting, classic seduction attempts (don’t pretend you haven’t tried the old lingerie under the rain jacket trick), stalking and at least one psycho-versus-faithful-wife-falling-through-an-attic-floor cat fight ensue. As one portly, old white, retrogressive man at the office says: “It’s always good to have a pretty women around the office, isn’t it boys.” Sure. Unless she is trying to kill your family. Or your family’s pet rabbit…………..

J V (vinod) is a successful businessman and believes in getting to the top. He does not hesitate to get people killed if he wants to and for this, his main henchman is Bullanna (sivaji) who takes money and is ready to do anything including murders. In this process, J V decides to get his daughter Rupini (rineel) married to rich alliances. However, Rupini falls in love with Manoj (manoj) who is the son of a Dhaba owner (Chinna). Soon, their affair is known at home and JV decides to see the end of Manoj.

In comes Bullanna and thanks to his mother’s (pragathi) intrusion, Manoj and his father escape. However, his mother realizes that it was Manoj’s father who saved the life of Bullanna once. She gives her piece of mind to Bullanna and he changes. He decides to help Manoj and Rupini. Bullanna also gets a love angle in the form of the social worker Bharathi (shraddha). What happens after that forms the rest of the story...................

Aneez is doing the film as a merger with Vikram Bhatt of Bollywood. The film titled ‘Muthirai’ was launched today, May 2, 2008 and the film launch took place from The Park hotel. This Muthirai movie has Nitin Sathya and Daniel Balaji in the lead roles with Manjari and Lakshmi Rai respectively as their love interests. Muthirai in Tamil means a mark in its own right.

P.C. Sreeram, P. Jayendra and Vikram attended the film launch. Muthirai will be directed by Sreenath and the music for this film will be scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Nithin Sathya, Daniel Balaji, debutante Manjuri and Lakshmi Rai will play important characters in the plot...........

Sagar Alias Jacky Online Movie Review:

Sagar Alias Jacky would be the most expected malayalam movie of the season solely because of the legacy Irupatham Nootandu has created.The movie has nothing in common with the earlier movie except the characters of Mohanlal and Jagathy Sreekumar.The movie as the previous one revolves round the underworld don and good Samaritan Sagar alias Jacky.Mohanlal is slick and cool as in the earlier version and the direction is wonderful.The cinematography is the highlight of the movie(other than of course Mohanlal),the camera work by the director Amal Neerad himself is awesome.The editing is also perfect.The only thing missing is a story.

The movie is crafted in the smae mould as the other one with politics underworld nexus and the exploits of Jacky.As in the previous version the heroine(Bhavana) is a journalist who has a love interst towards Jacky,the scene where Jacky introduces himself to her has been crafted the same way as in Irupatham Noottandu.Then there are an array of villains Suman plays Nana, an accomplice and then nemesis to Sagar,then there is Sampath Raj(the villain from SAROJA) and Sherveer Vakil(the villain from BIG B) GaneshKumar and Manoj K Jayan.And as usual Jacky is stronger faster braver and more intelligent than all of them.Other cast including Nedumudi Venu,Shobhana etc are there to boost and boast the image of the hero………….

Looking more like a ghastly demolition project than a post-nuclear dystopic 2018 LA in battered ruins overrun by mean-spirited robots, the interminably noisy, latest futuristic bone and metal cruncher Terminator Salvation is less about being great than just plain grating. Isn't this the sort of environmental irritant audiences flee to the movies to get away from?

It seems that there are still some spunky post-apocalyptic humans around, running interference on their clunky Terminator adversaries and the malevolent think tank brains behind the heavy metal brawn, Skynet. In ragtag rescue mode, is John Connor (Christian Bale), along with a couple of youngster survivalists, Kyle (Anton Yelchin) and Star (Jadagrace). A sidbar conflict kicks in when the mysterious Marcus (Sam Worthington) turns up to presumably pitch in, with a full blown identity crisis, or else premature Alzheimers.

Marcus is a previously executed convict and suspicious cyborg contraption concocted in the afterlife from experimental mix 'n match human body parts and a robot interior, and potentially in league with Skynet. But there's a war to the death to be waged against the Terminators, so whether Marcus stopped by from the past or is a two-faced fifth columnist from the future, is sorta beside the point for now.............
