Director Johny Antony, who is popularly known for his comedy films, has delivered another comedy for children. Ee Pattanathil Bhootham (EPB)is a fantasy movie, which also seems to be meant for children. Like the tales of Balaramayan, the movie deals with magic and bhootham.There are very few plus points in EPB to count. Hilarious slapstick comedy, Mammootty’s performance, and amazing graphic work are few of the highlights. But the number of minus points is more. Johny Antony’s selection of weak script and uninteresting way of narration spoil the movie, which has a predictable story line, characters and situations. The movie seems to be very dull because of too much of animation. Shaan’s music is another let down and it could have been bettered lot more.
Ee Pattanathil Bootham movie is about Jimmy (Mammootty) who is an orphan and is reared up by Krishnettan (Innocent). He runs a street circus group. He develops enemity with a big mafia in a bid to save street children from the gang of goons. How he will be sent to jail and how Bhootham (Mammotty’s second role) fights the injustice in the society will form the rest of the story…………………….
